12 week appointment and ultrasound!

Today we had our first ultrasound screen for baby #2. It was a fairly quick ultrasound but we were so excited to see how much baby has grown :) Jake and my mom went with me to this one. I wish we were allowed to video tape even though we technically weren't supposed to Jake could have got away with it, the techs back was turned most of the time. This little one was just as crazy as Kaiden was when Kaiden was in my belly, turning in circles, jumping around, moving its arms all over, baby even crossed his/her legs at one point which was pretty cute! The ultrasound tech made a guess on what we are having I just can't say yet! We are waiting until the next ultrasound and having a gender reveal party to tell all our friends and family! They were supposed to tell us if the measurements looked good today but the ultrasound tech didn't say anything about it, good or bad. She kind of seemed like she was in a hurry at the end because I wanted to get one more profile picture, but she handed me what she took, and left. Now that kind of leaves me worried. They took my blood as the other part of the test checking for down syndrome and other potential abnormalities and said they would call me back with in 3-5 days so I guess we will just find out then. She said my chances of having a baby with down syndrome was less than 1 in 1627. She only gave me 2 decent ultrasound pictures, one is really cute because you can see all of babies fingers and it looks like he/she was waving at us. Babies heart beat was 160 bpm at both appointments. Our midwife is really sweet and we really like her as our doctor. She said its not a huge worry if I lay on my back as I had asked her about it and that she recommends the red raspberry leaf tea starting in my second trimester.

Now for the fun part, The ultrasound pictures :)

11 weeks 2 days - Baby #2

Kissing his baby brother/sister <3

Kaiden is excited to be a big brother!

The weeks are going by so fast!

This was after I ate, but regardless, there is still a little bump :)

Our first ultrasound at 8 weeks and 3 days!

We found out we were expecting little baby Swapp at only 12 DPO! I was about 3 weeks when we found out. I am now 11 weeks and 2 days. A little funny I'm starting this blog back up now because I started blogging with Kaidens pregnancy when I was 11 weeks and 5 days. I'm going to try and stay updated every week with how things are changing just like I did with Kaiden. So far I was sick from week six (starting Christmas Eve) up until week 9. I only had one bad day of morning sickness and only had nausea after that. Acne was TERRIBLE but now in week 11 the baby is starting to produce its own hormones instead of making mine go crazy so the acne is starting to mellow out. Definitely worse that when I was pregnant with Kaiden. I have to eat every 2-3 hours or I start to get light headed and dizzy as well.
A few questions to stay updated on every week:
How far along: 11 Weeks and 2 days! My weeks start over on Tuesdays and I am due August 19th 2014
Total weight gain: None yet, my weight is always between 102-107 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Nope not yet! I did buy a cute pair off zulily a few weeks ago but am not needing to wear them yet.
Stretch marks: No new ones that I know of, potentially a couple on my boobs but thats all. Its hard to tell through all my ones I got with Kaiden.
Sleep: Still have to get up at least once to pee, and am restless as always. A huge thank you to Jake, My cuddle buddy, and my snuggle, my other cuddle buddy. Lol. (my pregnancy pillow)
Best moment of this week: Pregnancy wise, nothing exciting. Enjoying spending all my time with our little man.
Miss anything: Hotdogs and corn dogs, I know GROSS! But I loved them. Especially sonics corn dogs!
Movement: Not yet, just random belly twitches which get my excited for when I do get to feel this baby move.
Food cravings: SURPRISINGLY, NONE! This week I haven't craved anything in-particular but I have my appetite back which is nice. Milk and cereal and fresh fruit are my go to snacks through out the day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! Not this week! I'm hoping I'm out of the clear on this one. I just have to keep up on my daily snacks and staying hydrated.
Have you started to show yet: A tiny pudge haha. I looked at my 6 week pictures I took and my stomach was a lot flatter. Last week my uterus was the size of a grape fruit!
Gender: I say we're having another boy but Jake swears that we're having a girl.
Labor signs: I sure hope not!
Belly button in or out: In, as it will most likely stay the whole pregnancy. It never popped out with Kaiden, just got really flat and itchy haha.
Wedding rings on or off: On, still loose because I don't want to get it tightened until after the baby is born just in case my hands do swell I'll still be able to wear it.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy this week! Me and Kaiden just got over a cold, morning sickness and nausea is gone and today we finally got to see the sun after 2 weeks of an inversion. :)
Looking forward to: Our ultrasound for our first screen next week and our second midwife appointment! We can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat again!

Moving on..

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the past, when it was just me and my family. Mom, dad, brother, and little old me, and all of our pets of course! Moving apart, experiencing new things, Having families of our own, is all exciting and part of growing up. But at times I think think back and ask myself where did all that time go? From when I was a toddler until now. I miss being a kid, having rules, and most importantly the memories. Me and my brother didn't always get along, hardly ever once we turned teenagers Actually. Things that wouldn't even matter to someone else, are actually really close to me. Every summer when it was just us and the parents would go to work and we would have to entertain ourselves.. Before Internet! Almost everyday we would eat those kid cuisines (back when they had cool prizes in them!) and I would always try to take the prize. We each had our own chicken and we would take them on "adventures" on our 5 acre property, and one day we were having to much fun and mom kept trying to call the house and came home when she thought something had happened. When mom or dad would come down the drive way and we would get all of our chores done in that 2 minutes.. When me and my brother would pull our shirts over our knees and act like midgets lol. Or when my brother had his friend over staying the night and I got scared, so he let his little sister sleep on the floor of his room. Or when the night after Christmas, it was 2AM and me and my brother were up making bead animals and we see my doorknob turn and we run into my parents room and they were dead asleep! There's just so many memories that I miss and I wish I would have taken the time to slow down and realize that life does go on. My brother is now moving to Oregon and my parents are possibly going to as well. I cherish those memories because we don't make to many new ones anymore of just our family. We now have Kaiden to make his childhood as awesome as we can make it. Just don't take any moment for granted because it won't be there for ever.

This crazy life of mine!!

Today is September 27th! The first day of my first REAL job! I am now a full time college student, working part time, and a full time mommy, daughter and girlfriend.. Now that I have a job I am wondering if I will ever get a break. Sometime I wish I could do one or the other but then if I stop going to school what will I make of myself besides a $10.00 an hour paycheck? And if I didn't work, where would the extra money come from. Yes Jake works and pays the bills but we want some money we can go out and do things with out wondering how much is in our bank account.. Not to mention not putting all the stress on him! I love my job and were still in training, getting our background checks, finger prints and taking the CPR/first aid class. I just wish there was enough hours in the day to get all my homework done, go to work, spend hours and hours with Kaiden and Jake and time to my self As well to relax! I'm just hoping I'm not going to burn myself out. I'm already begging for Christmas break to be here! Exams for school are this week and next week and if you know me.. I suck at taking tests :(. I just need to get through next week and things will be much better! We also lost our awesome baby sitter who is moving to Boise so that is also pretty stressful looking for someone we know and trust! Anyways I'm not complaining just a little stressed but once I get into the swing of things it should be much better.. Just needed to vent a little lol, sorry guys!

What Kaiden did during his 7th month of life!

Whats been going on?!

I have not updated in MONTHS and have so much stuff to update on.. Especially Kaiden's monthly updates, which I will be putting up in a different blog, including his 7 month update. He is now 8 months old already! And will be 9 months on the 9th of October :) Just a little update before I get into his monthly updates, I am in college full time, for my Social work/ sociology degree. I have 3 in person classes for about 8 total hours a week and 2 online classes. I love my classes, besides math, I'm so bad at math. Other than that I am just a stay at home mom, working on homework, keeping the house clean and what not. Some big news is we got a French bulldog as well! Her name is Gracie and we could not ask for a better dog! She is so calm, and amazing with Kaiden. They are best friends already! Whenever Kaiden is sitting on the ground playing and rolling around Gracie is sitting right by his side! :) She is potty trained and about a year and a half old. She fits right in with our family :) What else is new...? hmm. Well Jake is still working at Dennis Dillon, and I have a job interview for AFI which is an organization that helps mentally handicapped people and kids with everyday tasks. I'm not sure if I'm going to go to the interview or take the job since I don't have someone to watch Kaiden unless it's after 4:30 and I just don't trust daycares. So we will see about that, :) Also, I'm not sure if I updated about our move which was at the end of August and we LOVE our place. 2 Bedroom 1.5 bath in a nice neighborhood. It is a town home with two other people on our left, but they are so quite I don't think we have even heard a sound from them. We recently got a letter in the mail that said they were selling our place.. We freaked out! We were thinking we will not be able to find a place that nice for that good of a price. Luckily when I went in to talk to them they informed us that it was only to investors so we wouldn't get kicked out and our lease would be the same,, so a big sigh of relief there! :) Not much else to update on me and Jake, I will not go and update Kaiden for his 7 month update. So stay tuned.. LOL :) And check out the pictures of Gracie Girl below!

6 Month update!

Today Kaiden is six months and one week old! And guess what...?? His front two teeth are popping through. Hence the picture below! :D I didn't know I could get so excited over something as simple as teeth lol. I didn't even know he was teething, he hasn't been any more fussy at all or drooling anymore than usual either.

Also he recently rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time! I was in the other room and he was on his playmat and when I came back into his room he was on his tummy. So many exciting things. This is my favorite part of being a mommy watching him grow up. Jake is now at A.T. Luckily he only has to be there for ten days this year, Last year he had to be in Washington for a whole month. Now he will be able to help us move into our new place and clean the old apartment. His birthday is on the 22nd this month. We're planning on having a BBQ for him sometime next months and also going to Tucano's brazilian grill. Here's a few more pictures of him, I'm pretty sure he's the cutest baby boy in the world :) lol. Love you boo boo.

Kaiden at the water park in July

On July 7th 2012 Kaiden went to his first "water park." Let's just say he is such a water baby. He LOVED putting his hands in and trying to catch the water. It was such a hot day he really didn't even mind when the water would get in his face. He also got to go on the swings at the park, which we are still practicing on doing. lol. He doesn't quite know how to hold himself up in the swing yet. I am definitely going to be taking him back to this park a lot as he gets older. It's called adventure island in settlers park in Meridian. It has a water part on during the summer, and a huge play ground.

Kaiden didn't like the other kids? jk. haha.

The faces my child makes! hahaha <3

Baby's first fourth of July

This year was Kaiden's first fourth of July. Technically we weren't with him on the fourth because me and Jake went out of town with some friends, but we celebrated his first fourth the Wednesday before at an event called the God and country rally. We watched fireworks, a lot of my friends got to meet Kaiden for the first time! He had a blast. Kaiden did not get scared by the fire works at all and was really into them and watched them almost the whole way through, and during the finally he actually passed out lol. Such a tired boy. We love you little man :)

The simple things in life :)

Being a mommy makes you think about so many more things in life, the beautiful things, that you have never thought of before. I am a teen mom but I don't feel like a teenager any more, and that's okay. I'm happier than I have ever been in life at this moment right now, I know who I am now, what I live for, and who I want to be. Here's things that make me so happy in life just from being a mommy:
-Waking up to Kaiden's smile in the morning.
-The way he giggles when he's "in trouble" make me forget everything in that moment but him.
-The way he sleeps on my chest so peacefully, he is truly an angel.
-How he looks at me and Jake, with so much love.
-How he tries to eat EVERYTHING he picks up.(:
-How he wants to do everything on his own
-The face he makes when he tries something new (baby food.)
-How he screams and laughs when we tickle him.
Kaiden is what inspires me to be a better person.
I never do anything with out thinking of him first, even when I'm not with him.
I have someone looking up to me, to be their mommy, their protector, so nothing
in this world can hurt him. He is the smallest person yet has the most meaning in my life.
I love you baby boy<3
